Abstract > Guidelines

The deadline for abstract submission for podium or poster presentations is 23rd April, 2017 (23:59 GMT+1, Paris time). All abstracts should be submitted electronically on the ISDM-IAPO-2017 website (other formats will not be accepted). Each person may be the first author of only one abstract, but there is no limit on the number of abstracts an individual may co-author.

 

Guidelines

To submit your abstract, you must register on the dedicated ISDM-IAPO-2017 website.

  • The abstract must be written in English.
  • The proposal is limited to 300 words.
  • Please provide 5 keywords.
  • Please specify your format preference (podium or poster presentation).
  • Please indicate the session for which you wish to submit your abstract.

 

Acceptance

Abstracts will be accepted and assigned to podium or poster presentations by the members of the scientific board. The corresponding author will be notified by e-mail of the result of the peer-review by May 31st, 2017. Programmatic requirements may result in moving some abstracts from podium to poster format. Also, we cannot guarantee that you will be assigned to your preferred session.

All accepted abstracts will be published in the Bulletin of the International Association for Paleodontology.

 

Prizes

Two prizes will be offered to young researchers (Master, PhD or Postdoc):

  • The best speaker will receive the Albert A. Dahlberg award.
  • The best poster will receive the Christy G. Turner award.

The winners will receive 750 € each from the Bordeaux Excellence Initiative (program funded by ANR - n° ANR-10-IDEX-03-02).

Instructions for oral and poster presentations

Podium:

  • Time limit: 10 minutes presentation + 5 minutes discussion.
  • Accepted presentation formats include:PowerPoint, PDF, Prezi.
  • Please provide your presentation on a USB drive at the latest before the beginning of your assigned session.

Poster:

  • Posters should be presented in portrait.
  • Maximum poster dimensions are A0: 841 mm (width) x 1189 mm (height).
  • Please put up your poster at the start of the day, before the first podium session. Posters should be taken down at the end of the day.
  • Please stay with your poster during the whole poster session time.
